Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) is gearing up for a historic gathering at Nampo Park, Bothaville, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, where thousands of Hilux vehicles are expected to converge in a bold bid to set multiple Guinness World Records.
The event will showcase the loyalty and pride of Hilux owners across generations, marking the arrival of the all-new 9th generation Hilux.

Participants who complete every record attempt will stand a chance to win the yet-to-be-released Hilux Xtra Cab, with Toyota Insurance (TIMSA) offering 12 months of cover and TSAM adding R30 000 worth of accessories. Owners of all Hilux derivatives – Single Cab, Xtra Cab and Double Cab – are invited, with entry limited to two occupants per vehicle.
Beyond the record-breaking spectacle, the day promises live entertainment, giveaways, and activations from Toyota sub-brands including TFS, TIMSA, Hino and Lexus.

Merchandise from GR, Land Cruiser and Hilux will be available, ensuring a full brand experience for fans and families alike.
Globally, more than 23 million Hilux units have been sold, with 1.2 million proudly owned in South Africa – a testament to the enduring spirit of the nameplate.
