Daimler Truck South Africa (DTSA) has brought its largest event of the year to the Gerotek Testing Facility in Pretoria. The 2025 —Daimler Truck Experience,— themed —For All Who Keep Africa Moving,— gave customers and industry stakeholders first-hand exposure to the latest in trucking technology.

Visitors were treated to dynamic activities, including electric truck sessions on the high-speed oval with the eActros and eCanter, handling experiences with the Mercedes-Benz Actros and FUSO TV33-400S, as well as gradient climbs with the Unimog and FUSO models. Straight-line runs also showcased both diesel and electric options.

A major unveiling at the event was the Allison Automatic Transmission, now available on the FUSO FJ range. Designed to boost efficiency and meet industry demand, the system will be featured on models such as the FJ16230R SWB AT and FJ18-280R LWB AT.

Another highlight was the live safety demonstrations of the Mercedes-Benz Actros 2652LS/33 RE. Using crash test simulations and cyclist scenarios, DTSA illustrated the effectiveness of features like Active Brake Assist 6, Active Side Guard Assist 2 and Frontguard Assist.
