
Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) has announced significant leadership changes effective 1 July 2026, reinforcing its executive team with two seasoned leaders. The appointments highlight DTSA’s commitment to customer focus, dealer network development, and sustainable growth.
Naeem Hassim Returns to DTSA
Naeem Hassim has been named Vice President for Customer Service and Parts, succeeding Ziyad Gaba, who moves into a regional role as Vice President of Customer Service and Parts for Daimler Truck Middle East and Africa.
Hassim’s career with Daimler spans more than three decades, beginning at Mercedes-Benz South Africa in 1994. He has held senior roles at DaimlerChrysler South Africa and Mercedes-Benz South Africa, where he influenced business strategy, governance, and customer experience. Known for his people-centric leadership, Hassim has championed Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in education, community upliftment, and crisis response. His leadership style emphasises diversity, inclusion, and talent development.
Reflecting on his appointment, Hassim said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to return and look forward to reconnecting with colleagues, customers and partners. DTSA has a strong foundation and a clear sense of purpose, and I look forward to working with the team to drive further growth, strengthen our customer focus and deliver sustainable value.”
Viscount Ramoshaba to Lead Dealer Network and Training
Viscount Ramoshaba has been appointed Head of Dealer Network and Training, joining the DTSA Executive Committee alongside Hassim. Ramoshaba brings extensive experience from both the automotive and transport industries, supported by a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration.
Since joining the company in 2004, then known as Debis Fleet Management, Ramoshaba has held diverse leadership roles including Dealer Monitoring, CharterWay, Dealer Training, and most recently Supply Chain and Sales Administration.
Commenting on his new role, Ramoshaba said: “Our dealer network plays a vital role in keeping customers, businesses and economies moving across the region. I look forward to working closely with our dealer partners to support and strengthen their ability to deliver on this important responsibility.”
