DP World has introduced a fully integrated logistics and market-entry platform designed to support automotive OEMs expanding into sub-Saharan Africa'one of the world's fastest-growing vehicle markets.

Despite being home to 18% of the global population, Africa accounts for just 1% of global vehicle sales. Growth potential is strong, with vehicle demand in sub-Saharan Africa expected to rise by 28.5% by 2030. However, fragmented logistics, regulatory hurdles, and unreliable parts distribution have historically held back global manufacturers.

DP World's new hybrid solution addresses these challenges head-on. It combines contract logistics with market-entry support, offering nationwide distribution to mostdealerships within 24'48 hours. OEMs benefit from a digital dealer portal with SKU-level inventory tracking, real-time updates, automated ordering, and integrated payments.

The model was successfully piloted with China's Foton Motor, enabling the company to rapidly establish aftermarket operations in South Africa. DP World supported warehousing, distribution, regulatory compliance, and digital enablement'giving Foton an early mover advantage in the market.

David D'Annunzio, DP World's Global VP for Automotive, said the turnkey solution 'removes traditional friction points,' giving OEMs the ability to scale effectively across Africa.

Mr. Fu Jun, President of Foton International, added, 'DP World made our aftermarket operations efficient and straightforward, allowing us to focus on our customers.'

With a reliable network, OEMs can now bypass informal markets and grey imports, reduce counterfeits, and build long-term trust.

Mark Rylance, COO for DP World Logistics in Sub-Saharan Africa, concluded: 'It's no longer about if automakers should enter Africa, but how. We provide the answer.'

DP World plans to expand this model to support more OEMs entering Africa's surging automotive market.
