Changan South Africa, in partnership with Jameel Motors South Africa, has opened its first flagship showroom in Pretoria, marking a key step in the brand’s growing presence across the country.

The opening underlines Changan’s ambition to make a strong impression on local motorists while offering a wide range of vehicle options designed to meet South Africa’s diverse driving needs.

The new showroom forms part of a national network of 25 fully equipped Changan dealerships that handle sales, servicing, and parts. The company says this structure ensures customers across the country enjoy convenient access to support and a seamless ownership experience.

Visitors to the launch were treated to an extensive vehicle line-up, including the Alsvin sedan, the CS75 Pro SUV, the Hunter Turbo Diesel, the Hunter Range Extending Electric Vehicle, and the all-electric Deepal S07. This variety highlights the brand’s focus on offering petrol, hybrid, and electric models to suit changing consumer preferences.

Marinus Venter, Country General Manager for Jameel Motors South Africa, said, “We’re really looking forward to what’s ahead. Customers will benefit from Changan Aftersales, a comprehensive support programme including service and maintenance plans, extended warranties, 24-hour roadside assistance, and access to our national dealer network.”

Xiao Feng, General Manager for Changan Automobile Middle East and Africa, added, “We are so excited to be in South Africa with Jameel Motors as our partner and look forward to building our legacy here and being a part of the country’s fabric.”

In a heart-warming moment, the event saw high school student Martinique Lamprecht receive her new Alsvin 1.5 DCT, marking her first car purchase. “For me, this isn’t just my first car, it’s my freedom, my independence and my own new beginning,” she said.
