Tata Motors South Africa is preparing to broaden its local product portfolio in 2026 with the introduction of two additional models.
The upcoming Tata Nexon and Tata Sierra will expand the company’s SUV offering, filling key gaps in size and positioning while aiming to appeal to a wider range of buyers.
The Tata Nexon is set to enter the range between the compact Punch and the larger Harrier, positioning it firmly in the competitive compact crossover segment.
The exterior design follows the brand’s latest SUV styling direction, with features such as sequential LED daytime running lights, bi function full LED headlamps and a dual tone roof contributing.
Inside, the Nexon places a strong focus on contemporary design and user experience. Highlights include a distinctive two spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a next generation physical touch panel and a substantial floor mounted centre console that adds to the sense of space and practicality.
The Tata Sierra will take up a higher position in the range when it launches later in the year, slotting in between the Curvv and the flagship Harrier.

This all new model introduces a fresh interpretation of the medium SUV concept, with an emphasis on design, technology and perceived luxury. The exterior is characterised by Night Saber Bi LED booster headlamps and Light Saber LED daytime running lights that feature welcome and goodbye functionality. At the rear, a bold LED light signature, flush door handles and 19 inch alloy wheels underline its premium intent.
The interior continues this theme with what is described as the segment’s largest sunroof and a striking triple screen layout that spans the width of the dashboard. Practicality has not been overlooked, with multiple storage solutions and a class leading boot capacity of 622 litres.
While local engine specifications and pricing have yet to be confirmed, international markets offer the Sierra with a 1.5 litre turbopetrol or turbodiesel engine.
The Nexon is available elsewhere with a choice of 1.2 litre or 1.5 litre petrol engines, both turbocharged and naturally aspirated.
Further details for South Africa are expected closer to launch.
