Omoda and Jaecoo Create Double Excitement with Major Debuts

Chinese manufacturers Omoda and Jaecoo promise significant reveals at this year's festival, sharing an expansive presence across three connected bays in the Main Pit Area. The highlight includes the highly anticipated public debut of the JAECOO J5, alongside the official unveiling of the OMODA C7 before its October market arrival.

The brands enhance the visitor experience with an innovative Sound Bar silent disco and the convenient Recharge Bar coffee station, operating for one hour on both Saturday and Sunday for those needing a quick refreshment break.

GWM Celebrates Milestone Anniversary with Impressive Showcase

Marking 18 successful years in South Africa, GWM presents an extensive celebration across three distinct areas. The main pit display features their diverse vehicle range, whilst the dedicated 4x4 zone demonstrates the impressive capabilities of P-Series and TANK models in genuine off-road conditions.

Enthusiasts can take advantage of the self-drive experience, getting behind the wheel of GWM's latest offerings including innovative NEV models and the recently launched Haval H6 GT PHEV hybrid. The comprehensive display caters to every taste, from city-friendly hybrids to robust 4x4 adventures, representing the future of mobility in South Africa.

Historic Green Performance Makes Automotive History

This year's Festival of Motoring witnesses a groundbreaking moment in South African automotive history. MasterDrive, collaborating with the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) and Automotive Remanufacturers' Association (ARA), introduces the spectacular FOM Green ' the country's first LPG Autogas-powered performance vehicle.

The specially converted Ford Mustang 5.0 GT represents a revolutionary achievement. Eugene Herbert, CEO of MasterDrive, describes it as "a fusion of environmental consciousness and high-performance driving." The retrofitted Mustang demonstrates that sustainable motoring can deliver thrilling performance without compromise.

Remarkably, the vehicle retains its impressive 328kW V8 engine, maintaining its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds whilst achieving a top speed of 250 km/h, proving that green technology and excitement can coexist perfectly.
