
The Nissan Navara Warrior by Premcar has celebrated its first year on sale in South Africa, cementing its place as a tougher, off-road-ready alternative to the standard Navara.
Built in partnership with Australian firm Premcar, the Warrior conversion starts with the Navara PRO-4X and adds uprated suspension, increased ground clearance to 232mm, a wider track for stability, and MAXXIS RAZR tyres for confident performance both on and off the road. Power comes from Nissan’s 2.5-litre DDTi diesel engine producing 140kW and 450Nm, paired with a seven-speed automatic and low-range transfer case.
Distinctive styling includes a blacked-out grille, angular bumper, sports bar, and red accents, while inside, buyers get an eight-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring and a full suite of driver assistance features.

Premcar backs its upgrades with a warranty matching Nissan’s six-year/150,000km cover, plus a six-year/90,000km service plan. Demand has been strong, with local conversions running at full capacity.
The Warrior has already proven itself in long-distance expeditions, including an 8,000km drive from Rosslyn to Cairo in 2024 and a 1,000km Northern Cape route in 2025. Positioned at the top of the Navara range, it offers South African buyers a factory-approved bakkie built for serious adventure.
