Hyundai Automotive South Africa’s decision to appoint Siya Qamba as Regional Manager for the Gauteng East Region underscores the value of long-term development and internal growth.

His promotion follows a 16-year journey marked by consistent results, leadership progression and a strong sales driven mindset.

Siya joined Hyundai in 2006, beginning at dealership level where he developed a deep understanding of customer expectations and the realities of the retail environment. This grounding in sales shaped his belief that delivering on the Hyundai promise starts with satisfied customers and motivated teams.

His career progression reflects a balance between performance and trust. From Branch Manager at Hyundai Bruma to Dealer Principal positions at Hyundai Heidelberg, Kia Heidelberg and later Hyundai Bedfordview, Siya demonstrated an ability to lead diverse teams while maintaining strong operational discipline.

At Hyundai Bedfordview, he spent more than six years driving sustained business results and strengthening the dealership’s market position. His move to Hyundai Boksburg in 2023 added further regional exposure and leadership responsibility, paving the way for his transition into a senior executive role.

In his new position, Siya will oversee eight dealerships and a workforce of 349 employees. He has described the role as both an honour and a responsibility, highlighting the importance of mentorship, accountability and continued growth.
