Keyloop has announced plans to acquire UK based Motortech.ai in a move aimed at accelerating the use of artificial intelligence across its Automotive Retail Platform.

The agreement brings together two technology specialists focused on improving efficiency and customer engagement within the automotive retail sector.

The acquisition will support the further development of Keyloop’s Fusion platform by embedding advanced AI functionality designed to help dealers extract more value from customer interactions while streamlining daily operations.

Central to the deal is Motortech.ai’s next generation AI customer agent, AIME, which replaces traditional website forms and manual responses with real time conversational tools available around the clock.

AIME is capable of searching and comparing vehicles, qualifying leads, answering customer queries, managing trade ins, logging vehicle reservations and processing finance quotes and agreements. These capabilities, along with other AI driven solutions from Motortech.ai, will be integrated across Keyloop’s Fusion domains, including Vehicle Hub, Acquisition Hub and Sales Hub, connecting each stage of the sales journey.

Tom Kilroy, chief executive officer of Keyloop, says he is extremely excited that Motortech.ai will soon become part of the business. “We’re already planning how their proven technology will be integrated throughout our tech stack, so that whenever and however a customer interacts with a dealer, both parties will feel the benefits.”

Gerard Thatcher, CEO and founder of Motortech.ai, says the agreement represents an important step for motor retailers and OEMs. “This agreement means we’ll be able to accelerate deployment of a full conversational layer for dealerships and OEMs, providing better outcomes for customers and dealers alike.”

The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals, which are expected during the first quarter of 2026.
