Renault has refreshed its popular Kiger for South Africa, giving the naturally aspirated range a sharper presence and a more polished feel while keeping its practical motoring character intact. Since its local arrival in 2021, the compact crossover has moved more than 28 000 units, and the latest update aims to build on that strong foundation by refining the elements that made it a success from the start.
The most noticeable changes are in the design, where the Kiger receives a new front grille, a redesigned bonnet and updated front and rear bumpers. LED headlamps and C shaped LED tail lamps add a more modern signature, while 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and skid plates give the car a more confident stance. A new Grey paint option joins Blue, White and Silver in the colour palette.
Inside, the cabin has been given welcome attention. A dual tone dashboard and ventilated leatherette seats lift the sense of quality, while the updated seat upholstery and improved noise insulation contribute to a calmer drive. Renault says airflow has been enhanced thanks to front and rear ventilation, helping the car feel cooler and quieter in daily use.

A multi view camera, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, wireless smartphone connectivity, an eight-inch floating touchscreen and a 3D Arkamys sound system round off the updated tech offering.
Safety remains a key focus, with more than fifteen standard safety features on the Kiger range. These include six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist and Isofix child seat anchor points.
Under the bonnet, the familiar naturally aspirated engine returns with 52 kW and 96 Nm, paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or the Easy R automated manual transmission. The range now consists of the MT Evolution, MT Techno and AMT Techno derivatives, priced from R219 999 to R254 999.
