Chloe Stuart Strengthens Position in South African Motorsport

Teen racer Chloe Stuart is climbing motorsport ranks through karting, single-seaters and BMW racing success.

Sixteen-year-old South African racing driver Chloe Stuart continues to establish herself as one of the country’s most promising young competitors as she moves through national motorsport ranks with increasing success.

Born in Gauteng, she has progressed from karting to single seaters and saloon cars while collecting a series of championship titles and landmark achievements.

Stuart began racing at the age of seven after early interest in battery-powered cars and quad bikes. She advanced through the SSS Prokart Midgets, F200 and F300 classes and finished third in the 2022 F300 Championship before moving into Formula M. In her debut Formula M season she won the Class C Championship, topped the Index of Performance and was named Driver of the Year. She also secured a wet weather victory at the Libre Invitational in Cape Town, which highlighted her capability in challenging conditions.

Her transition to Formula Vee marked a significant shift to more competitive single seater racing. She was the youngest driver in the field and the only woman but adapted quickly and ended her first season as Rookie Champion. She later became the youngest female to win a Formula Vee title and the first woman to do so in more than fifty years. Her international experience includes representing South Africa at the Tillotson T4 Nations Cup in Spain and competing in the KZ2 Shifter Kart series.

In 2025 Stuart joined Pablo Clark Racing as a development driver in a BMW E46 330i. Her progress in the BMW M Performance Parts Race Series was rapid. She became the first woman to win a BMW M Performance race in Class F and was promoted to Class E after exceeding her class performance bracket. Reports from the 2025 season show that she consistently demonstrated competitive pace, secured midfield finishes against more experienced drivers and began scoring points in her new class. Stuart is currently competing in the BMW M Performance NA Cup in Class D and races with support from Pablo Clark Racing and a range of commercial sponsors. Her growing presence in the paddock has drawn attention from teams and spectators, and she appears regularly at motorsport events and exhibitions.

Away from the circuit she focuses on physical training including CrossFit and holds a brown belt in karate. She also studies telemetry, reviews race footage and works closely with engineers to understand technical aspects such as tyre behaviour and aerodynamics. Her social media platforms provide behind the scenes access to her preparation and have helped expand her public profile.

Stuart is developing two personal projects alongside her racing commitments. She is preparing to launch her first fragrance, Racer Girl, and is building Classic Cars by Chloe, a restoration venture that forms part of her broader long term career plans. Current goals include mastering Class D competition and gaining experience that will support a future move into international racing.
