Mahindra Brings Fusion Fest Spirit to South African Youth

The 2026 Mahindra Fusion Fest began with style and enthusiasm in Cape Town, where the manufacturer gathered over 3 000 students and fans for a lively Build Up event at the University of Cape Town.

Guests enjoyed live music, a fashion show and a colourful graffiti art display on one of the new Mahindra XUV 3XO models. Students had earlier test driven the vehicle as part of the Fusion Fest competition, with public entrants also invited to try it for a chance to win VIP tickets, exclusive merchandise and a weekend experience with the XUV 3XO.

“The growth of the Mahindra Fusion Fest reflects our deepening connection with South Africans through culture, creativity and community,” said Rajesh Gupta, CEO of Mahindra South Africa.

Following the Cape Town event, the roadshow moves to Durban and the University of KwaZulu-Natal on 16 December.

This year’s festival expands with Mahindra x Music, Mahindra X Fashion and Mahindra X Art, encouraging young musicians, designers and artists to express the idea of fusion in their own ways. From blending genres and cultures in music to creative interpretations in design and art, the festival celebrates the rich diversity of South African talent and Mahindra’s growing role in nurturing it.
